The NSW Government issued a new notice in the Government Gazette (No.43) on 6 February 2026 informing mine operators of requirements in relation to the provision of mine survey plans to the Resources Regulator.
The new notice replaces the previous Provision of mine survey plans to the regulator 2020 (No.3) published in the Government Gazette on 31 July 2020.The new notice updates legislation references and enables mine operators to seek a change to the specified date of the annual submission of mine survey plans if necessary.
Otherwise, the existing specified dates for submission remain the same as in the previous notice, as does the schedule of mining operations required to submit survey plans.
Applications to make a change to the survey plan submission dates can be made via email to the Resources Regulator’s mine survey data team at mine.survey@dpird.nsw.gov.au. Conditions apply.
