The 2025 AIMS Conference, held on the Sunshine coast, Queensland from September 17th to 19th, was the largest and most successful event to date, continuing the steady growth trend in attendees, presentations and sponsorship.

Christina Morrissy returned again for 2025, serving as MC to keep the 18 presenters taking the stage across the Thursday and Friday all on track. Highlights of the conference included our first keynote speaker, Dr Richard Harris, who provided an excellent recount of the Thailand cave diving rescue mission, and Bastian Treptel, a former black-hat hacker turned cyber security expert who provided an insight into the world of cybersecurity and the impacts this has on our industry.

We were also provided some light entertainment at the Gala dinner, with Arj Barker providing the comedy relief to close out the formal event.  

A special thanks to the outstanding team of Hazel and Dean from Conference Images, and Mark McShane from inTouch Web Services, for their excellent work behind the scenes in coordinating the event and the promotional activities leading up to it.

We deeply appreciate all our sponsors for their continued support and warmly welcome the new sponsors who joined us this year. The sponsors workshops on the Wednesday were excellent and appreciate the time and effort put into these.

It was wonderful to reconnect with everyone and planning is already underway for the 2026 conference at the Hilton Sydney from September 9th to 11th.
