BOSSI held its presentation ceremony in Sydney on 29th November 2024.
Whilst there were no new Mining Surveyors receiving their certificates of competency for 2024, there were four mining surveyors who received Certificates of Meritorious Service, in recognition of over 25 years of service to the industry as a Certified/Registered Mining Surveyor in NSW. They were Trevor Collins, Phil Enright, Mark Harrower and Ian Payne. The Ceremony was held at the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel in Sydney CBD, and attended by over 100 guests including certificate of competency recipients, retiring surveyors, their families, colleagues and members of the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information. Certificates and prizes were presented by Surveyor-General Narelle Underwood before afternoon tea was held and a photo shoot involving recipients to recognise the occasion.
AIMS would like to congratulate Trevor, Phil, Mark and Ian for the recognition they received, and thank them for theur contributions to the profession, including their involvement in AIMS.
Unfortunately Trevor and Phil were unable to attend the ceremony in person, so will receive their certificates at a later date.
