The inaugural Western Australian Excellence in Surveying & Spatial Information (EISSI) Awards were celebrated in style on Friday, 17 October 2025, at Joondalup Resort, recognising excellence, innovation, and leadership across Western Australia’s surveying and spatial sciences profession.
Jointly hosted by the Western Australian Institution of Surveyors (WAIS) and Surveyors Australia, the milestone event marked the first time Western Australia has joined the prestigious EISSI national awards program — building on a proud 27-year legacy in New South Wales.
The awards attracted an outstanding field of entries, reflecting the depth and diversity of talent across the profession. From infrastructure and innovation to community projects and cadastral surveying, submissions showcased the technical excellence and professionalism that underpin the surveying and spatial sciences industry in Western Australia. Leading the winners was De Nada Surveys, which claimed three major awards, including the prestigious Ferdinand George Medcalf Award — presented to the most outstanding overall project across all categories — for the Victoria Park to Canning Level Crossing Removal Project.
De Nada Surveys also received top honours in:

• Professional Organisation of the Year (Large Firm)
