Why are AIMS so strict with their CPD compliance rules?
AIMS is an appointed Ratified Organisation (RO) by BOSSI. The other RO's are ISNSW and ACS. (CGA and UoN were previously RO's but are no longer).
The rules around CPD are outlined in the BOSSI CPD Determination.
AIMS, as an RO, is required to adhere to these rules, which are intended to be black and white and with little room for AIMS to apply discretion.
RO's are periodically audited thoroughly by BOSSI to ensure compliance. To make allowances for surveyors would jeopardise AIMS's status as a BOSSI Ratified Organisation.
When do I need to submit my CPD return by?
