Seminar Review
Mackay 2011 proved to be another successful event with 85 attendees attending over the day and a half workshop and seminar.
Highlights included:
- Registration Workshop well received with the current legislation change spurring many into action to obtain registration.
- Meetings held with SBQ to develop a matrix of registration requirements for those experienced surveyors without a 3 year degree. Follow up meeting to be held in Brisbane or Toowoomba.
- Coal Advisory Committee Secretary spoke on the soon to be gazetted QLD Survey & Drafting Standard for both Coal & Metalliferous.
- Interest in Candidate Sessions for Graduate Surveyors to be run throughout state with assistance from AIMS.
- Delegates have volunteered to post sample Career Episode Reports (CER) and PAP (Professional Assessment Projects) on the website to assist others unsure of the registration process. Watch QLD Candidates page for updates!
- High standard of papers and technology presentations.
- Enjoyable Informal Dinner and smoothly run seminar thanks to our event manager Stefana from Studio73 and Ocean International Resort.
