Every Surveyor Counts in the 2026 Census

On Tuesday 11 August, Australia's Census will use the new OSCA occupation classifications for the first time.

There will be distinct codes for the full surveying career pathway, from Surveyor's Assistant to Surveying Manager.

Accurate answers determine the workforce data behind university places, skilled migration and infrastructure planning for the next five years.

The key: use a specific title such as Land Surveyor, Engineering Surveyor or Surveying Technician, and describe two or three of your main tasks.
