Career highlight (biggest achievement)?
There's probably two that come to mind from early in my career.
1. Graduating from USQ 2 years ahead of schedule and with the highest academic record for that graduating year.
2. Becoming one of the youngest surveyors in NSW to achieve my survey registration at 23.

Career goals?
Take every opportunity to learn and grow.

Survey Work / People
APART from $$, what factor attracts you to work in the mining industry as opposed to other survey disciplines?

The fact that mining surveyors have so much opportunity to add value to a mining operation. Given our role is 50/50 mining and technical, we have a much better understanding of the way an operation can succeed than we give ourselves credit for!

Would you recommend a career in surveying to a grade 12 school kid? If not, what career would you recommend?
Absolutely.

Sports/Hobbies
What makes you happy?
Spending time with the family and watching the kids learn and grow. Reading (non-fiction of course!).

How do you relax?
Generally, if I have some spare time I renovate houses. I've been told that I'm not very good at relaxing.

What sports do you play and/or watch?
I play basketball and have taken up running this year. I'll watch any sport live, but mainly AFL on the TV (Go Carlton!!).

What is your ideal retirement location?
See question about relaxing.... I'm not yet sure that retirement will suit me just yet!

Favourite food/drink?
I am on a mission to find the world's best Butter Chicken, probably accompanied by a Coke No Sugar. At AIMS events I'm most likely seen with a pink cocktail with some fruit and an umbrella.
