is calling for expressions of interest from Surveyors at all levels
interested in working in the mining industry.
Conics is a diverse service organisation focusing on urban growth,
infrastructure and mining. We are the largest private sector
employer of surveyors in Queensland, working with a diverse client
base involved in mining, natural resource management, infrastructure
delivery, development and construction.
We are expanding our mining and infrastructure division to service
our growing number of clients in these sectors, and we are now
inviting applications for a number of Surveying positions to be
based in various locations throughout Queensland. Primarily but not
limited to Queensland’s Bowen Basin, these roles can be either Open
Cut or Underground in both coal and hard rock.
Applicants with experience as Mine Surveyors, Survey Technicians or
Surveyor Assistants will be highly regarded. Recent survey graduates
with a desire to work in Mines are also welcome to apply.
To take advantage of this opportunity, we will consider candidates
who have:
• The ability to demonstrate current competency in Mine Surveying
activities
• Experience operating GPS and Robotic surveying equipment
• Working knowledge of industry accepted software packages
• Mining (A) or Mining (O) Certification and/or a registered
surveyor with mining experience would be an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Desire to contribute to personal and professional skills
development
• An understanding of the benefits associated with working as part
