Surveyor – QLD - Peabody Energy

Position Details: Our Wilkie Creek mine is
situated in the Surat Basin of south-east Queensland, conveniently
located approximately 40km from Dalby. This open-cut mine has 380
million tonnes of recoverable coal and is currently producing about
2.3 million tonnes of low sulphur, low nitrogen, environmentally
superior thermal coal for supply to its established export customer
base.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a
Surveyor within our Technical Services Team. Reporting to the Senior
Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing accurate survey,
technical and operational support, as well as information and plans to
all departments to enable a continued uninterrupted production level
to be achieved. This role provides you with excellent opportunities
within the world's largest coal mining company offering career
advancement domestically and internationally.
You will
possess relevant qualifications in Surveying with demonstrated ability
in the analysis of surveying data and resolution of surveying
problems. You will also have experience in the use of RTK GPS, Total
Stations and Machine Guidance Systems, this coupled with a working
knowledge of Vulcan and AutoCAD software will be well regarded. You
will have excellent communication skills; and a proven track record of
driving safe work practices.
