AIMS Sponsors the NSW EISSA 2011 Awards
The Australian Institute of Mine Surveyors is again proud to sponsor the
NSW Excellence in Surveying & Spatial Information Awards.
Mining Surveyors in particular are encouraged to submit a project in the
Mining Surveying category which has been carried out for either a coal or
metaliferous mining operation and which uses innovative techniques to
achieve the project objectives. Closing date for final entries is 11 July
2011 with the awards evening being
held on Sat 24 September 2011.

2011 AIMS SALARY SURVEY
The Annual AIMS
Salary Survey is due to
commence very soon - keep a close
eye on the web site for full
details. This is a great independent
tool providing a snapshot of current
salary trends via a simple online
web survey. Some of the 2010
highlights included;
- 122 MEMBERS COMPLETED THE
SURVEY
- NEARLY 50% OF ALL AIMS
members REPRESENTED
- Results showed 35.5% work in
excess of 50 hours per week
- Results showed 33.9% earn in
excess of $150,000
