WA Mine
Survey Board – Vacant Industry Board Seat
The WA Mine Survey Board & SSSIWA would like to invite nominations for the
currently vacant industry board seat as per regulation 3.44 - MINES SAFETY
AND INSPECTION REGULATIONS 1995.
(i) 2 must be persons who hold authorised mine surveyor’s certificates and
are currently engaged in the mining industry and who are nominated by the
body known as the Institution of Engineering and Mining Surveyors Australia
Inc. — Western Australian Division;
Role details:
- Must be available to attend two or more Mine Survey Board meetings per
year
- Provide advice and industry perspective on
--WA & National Mine Surveying matters before the board
--Authorsied Mine Surveyor process & applications
To be eligible for the role, the following criteria must be met:
- Must hold a WA Grade 1 or 2 Mine Surveying Authorisation
- Must be currently engaged in the mining industry
Ideally it is also envisaged that the following criteria would also be met:
- The suitable applicant should have at least 10 years+ combined Open Pit &
Underground Mine Surveying experience
- The suitable applicant should also demonstrate a desire to be a strong
industry advocate for the WA Mine Surveying community at both a state &
national level
